Problem with Merging Calls???

I recently returned my iphone to my local apple store because of a issue i had with it. They gave me a refurb that i was ok with (or so i thought). Maybe two days ago i noticed for some odd reason that i cant merge calls. i know this isn't a major issue but it is still a feature that should be included with the phone. i tried calling apple and reporting the problem. they had me restore to no avail. I mad an appt with apple to take the phone there personally. what do you guys think they are going to do? will they give me a Brand new phone or another refurb? thanx
