i cant decide between the 8600 or razr v3m. any opinions

Well the AX8600 looks cooler and will probably be a better multimedia phone, but the Motorola beats the LG big time when it comes to reception. I also know people that have LGs on Verizon (same phones and network, different software) that have random dropped call problems.

i have had both the v3m and 8600 and i have a little bit of a difference of opinion than the poster before me.

the 8600 has been my favorite phone of all time. the reception seemed to be on par with the razr v3m, and battery life was a little better on it.

its def. a better multimedia device, though, with the external music controls and etc. I recommend the 8600.

how bout the krzr vs the razr vs the 8600

I have the 8600. I really like the phone but it lacks one key feature that keeps it from trumping the razr imho: you can't bluetooth ringtones or pictures from your phone to your friend's phone. You have to use a picture message, which of course, would limit the size of the file you can send. I've heard it's LG's fault, I've heard it's Alltel's fault... I don't know. Just another example of a corporation limiting functionality so they can make a few cents. I seem to get great reception with my 8600, almost full EV signal all the time. Even in the rural area where my parents live I get get great call quality on a couple of bars. Compared side by side, they're pretty much the same size. The razr has a really small front screen compared to the 8600. 8600 is a great looking phone that provides nice call quality and an mp3 player that is actually fun to use.

did you mean razr or razr2 ?

if its razr then answer is not very clear but my vote is toward 8600

if its Razr2 then no second thought . razr2 all the way. why dont you consider V9m ?
