Removing LG Shine Carrier interface

I recently bought an unlocked LG KU970 Shine but when i bought it, I thought it was only branded with the Vodafone logo and that the UI is a generic one unfortunately it still had the Vodafone UI. Because the phone is set to that region and i cant change the network, I cant receive multimedia messages or do anything linked to internet use. Is there anyway that I can flash the firmware to the generic one or hack it somehow? Any help is appreciated.
