I'm not sure how Bongo does their software unlock, but AppTapp isn't on the phone so installing that was step one. I believe their tech said he doesn't load anything onto the phone and I think he even said they don't reflash the baseband. Unfortunately, when I ran the installer, I got a "bootstrap failure" error at the point the installer says it's extracting the firmware. The phone went into recovery mode. Luckily I was able to restore it, with the only casualty being YouTube no longer works. I've tried again, same result. So....any ideas? Anything else I can try to get AppTapp on the phone. If not I guess I'm stuck and can't even fix YouTube with no SSH. I'm using..... MacBook Pro, Leopard OS iTunes 7.5 installer.app for firmware 1.0.0 to 1.0.2 and iTunes 7.4 and later iNdependence (updated for iTunes 7.5) By the way does the iTunes MS work on our unlocked phones here in Ontario/Canada? Someone told me it doesn't. Thanks! Jason |

Just an idea. |
