So was was trying to upgrade to 1.1.2 last night and had lots of problems. But I got the phone sort of working again. I have 1.1.1 installed with 04.02.13_G. But it isn't unlocked anymore. I can't run anysim or onesim. I am not sure what to do now. Do I need to revirginize? I installed iBrikr but it won't connect.

Any suggestions?

Get yourself to 1.0.2 with 4.02BB, and start at MILESTONE 2 on this guide...

what version of iTunes are you using? 7.5?

Copy the iTunes 7.5 iTunesMobileDevice.dll into your wiNstaller folder (should overwrite the old one) and try again...

You can download that, unpack it in your wiNstaller directory.

Nope. You will not be able to use your Rogers SIM until the very end (after jail/activating)

that is what i figured so i just went for it. updated to 1.1.2 and am currently jailbreaking via that bat file.

Congrats! The jailbreak / activate should take around 7 - 9 minutes - let me know how it goes!!!

My reception is worse now. I used to get full bars in my living room now only 3. But at least I have a phone again

definitely louder which is fantastic. I am in my basement right now and the signal keeps going from 3 to 1 now it is at 2. weird. oh well. i guess i will keep an eye on that. Now to hook up to itunes on my mac and see if it will restore all my contacts etc.

i will check it out I am so happy now that I have VM notification. I just got one and I have 3 VMs.
I connected to itunes hoping that it would resync everything from before, but no go. Do I have to manually set up the sync again?

iLevel ROCKS!!!!

This will be very handy for me. I am a Shaw Installer and mounting wallplates straight is my nemesis. Not anymore!!

Just set up the sync again - I have no clue actually .a.hahahaha...I don't know my way around iTunes to be honest - I've only seen the iphone restore page..

Ya i just set up the sync again. It was no biggie actually. It is syncing right now. Once that is done, I will be doing ringtones and videos!!

until it froze on me tonight. Now it is stuck at the screen with the apple on it and it occasionally goes into a white and black horizontal lines screen. Very weird. I can't get it to reboot or anything.

I plugged it in and itunes sees it. As does iBrickr.

Anyone seen this before?
Should I restore? ANd if so, should I just do 1.1.2 or do I have to go all the way back again?

I've seen this before when someone's summerboard crashed and had the black and white lines flashing after rebooting. A simple restore fixed this issue

so do i just restore in itunes by pressing restore or do i have to 2 finger salute (DFU?) and pick the firmware, cause i don't have a copy of the 112 fw

Downgrade to 1.1.1 and then prep for upgrade by re-installing Oktaprep if you wanna continue to 1.1.2 again

Go back to 1.0.2, and try this:
