just upgrade and downgraded but now it says invalid sim please insart an unlocked sim card i am using a good at@t sim card. an also my imei is also changed its a fake one 000xxxx

please someone help

you need to downgrade your baseband from 4.01 to 3.18 first, and THEN run virginize.

Well, it'll take me way too long type the steps out, and I have to warn you that the process is quite involved - be prepared to do a LOT of reading.

First, go to http://blaus.wordpress.com/2007/10/...-111-to-102-bb/

Download the file, and follow the intruction with ONE EXCEPTION:

- You are on BB 4.02, and this the a guide for BB 4.01, so the end result is that you will get an 'Failure to load .FLS' error.
- To correct this, you must download the 1.1.2 secpack, and use it instead of the file that tha comes with your first download. You can find 4.02 secpack here:

ok i have 03.14.08_g and i restore again to1.1.1 and the firmware is now 4xx
well again i did everything and got back my firmware to 03xx and now i have on my phone

ver 1.1.1(3a109a)
fir 03.14.08_g

wand when i go to installer and i hit uninstall i can c
community source
bsd subsystem
installer
open ssh
bb downgrader(1.1.2)

but still corrupt imei

it says invalid sim

plese help me somebody

Who told you to restore to 1.1.1? By upgrding to 1.1.1, you basically bricked you phone AGAIN.

1) Go back down to 1.0.2 with FW 3.14
2) Virginize
3) unlock with AnySIM 1.2.1u
4) Apply Oktoprep
5) Update to 1.1.2
6) Jailbreak

problem is going back sown to 1.0.2 when i do that itunes fails and i thinkd the problem is bdm or something ibrick is not working to

To get back down to 1.0.2 from where you are, you need to perform MANY steps. It's not as simple as SHIFT+RESTORE on iTunes. You ware WAY beyond that now.

- Dowgrade Baseband
- Virginize
- THEN restore w/ itunes - if you did everything right, you will not get an error..then continue with the AnySIM 1.2.1u unlock.

for me to go back to 1.02 i downgrade to 3xx when i try to virginize it says i need to be on 1.0.2. and when i try to go to 1.0.2. itunes say error (1) then i think it needs to be on dfu mode but when i try to put it on dfu mode with ibrick it says iphone putting on dfu mode and iphone should be white but mine is green so problem is ithink i cant put iphone on dfu mode.

what u think

how are you putting your phone into DFU mode?

Are you holding down the buttons until the phone disconnects and then letting go fo the sleep button while holding onto the Home button?

ok i did restore to 1.02 it was done but when i jailbreak using winstaller it does not read iphone it keep saying connect iphone when its connected and also on the home screen its not the triangle is an itunes logo

You still haven't confirmed that you DFU'd correctly. what does your phone look like before you start the restore? What's on the screen? Is it blank or is there something showing?

Run the OLD anySIM 1.02, and you will unlock you phone under 1.0.2 again (This will give you your IMEI back.

Re-Virginize AGAIN (I told you this is a long process!) - you don't need to downgrade BB 'cause you're already there.

DFU restore to 1.0.2 again

Your phone should be locked and at 1.0.2

A friend of mine asked me to fix his iPhone for him after he attempted to unlock it himself. I have no idea what he's done but even with an AT&T Sim card (I tried 3 of them), I get "Incorrect SIM: This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM". No amount of unlocking or restoring is fixing the problem.

I noticed that his IMEI is bogus "004" and his Modem Firmware was 4.02. I downgraded the baseband to 04.01 but still nothing...should I attempt to downgrade the baseband to 1.02 and virginize ?

First thing is first: recover IMEI - To do this, find and download anySIM 1.02 (Yes, the old one). Downgrade the firmware, and then the baseband as well (they are two separate things). After you have your phone at 1.0.2 with 3.14 baseband (and bad IMEI), activate, and jailbreak the phone. Run AppTappInsatller.exe to install Installer. Install the necessities : Community Servies (Source), BSD (System), and OpenSSH (System). Copy AnySIM.app over to the phone in the /Application directory, and apply 0755 permissions to all the files.

Run AnySIM 1.02 - This will unlock your phone and give you back your IMEI.

Viriginize, and DFU restore to 1.0.2 again. This will re-lock your phone, but you should retain your IMEI.

use winSCP, select all the files, and right click on them and select "properties"

a box will come up and on the right side near the top, you can enable the permissions function...

i am messed up cant verginized i am stuck wit 1.0.2 with 03 firmware and unlocked with any sim (old) and i have good imei but i cant make or recive phone calls

trying to virginize but cannot install virginize script with installer and i dont know other way.

i feel like throw this phone away but cant spent too much money.

ok everything worked good upgraded to 1.1.1 jailbreak using wifi method and unlocked with any sim(new) the imei is good

but the problem is no signal using good sim

need mor help please what's the problem now

If you used AnySIM 1.2.1, you will get no signal using firmware 1.1.1...

you need to update to 1.1.2 (run oktoprep first) and then you will get your signal back.

If you used AnySIM 1.1, then you SHOULD have signal.

i have good running 1.1.1 with good signal and imei but problem is i cant hear anything when i make a call but when i put on speaker it works fine

Yep, actually, you are the first person that actually did what I told them - usually when i mention anySIM 1.02, people cringe and say "ARE YOU SURE!???? ARE YOU CRAZY??!?!?!"

However, anySIM 1.02 is the BEST tool for fixing the 0049 IMEI problem
