Any ideas?

I love the form factor of the G600. The phone feels very solid and so is the slider. I have never owned a Samsung before though.

I love k800i and I'm assuming the k850i is just a step up from it. I really dislike the color options though. IMO, the gray part on the blue model is horrendous.

Hi there,

I have both, and they each have their pros and cons.

Here's a basic breakdown of my thoughts on them:

G600
Pros: Battery life is good. Phone functions are good. Keypad works well for SMS'ing. reception is accepable in my opinon. Slider is nice.
Cons: PIM (Synching) is horrible. Camera is still slower than the k850 for capturing. UI is not very well refined in my opinon. I have g608 forimare on my unit, and it does not handle NA call display and name display properly, which is annoying.

k850
Pros: Battery life is good. HSPDA is nice for internet action. Camera is better than g600 in resolution and speed. can take microSD OR M2 memory sticks! reception is good. Synching is great and easy with SE suite.

Cons: Rather large phone (although it's still pocketable). Touch sensitive keys are a pain (not disabled when phone is in use, and quirky to use), the housing is a fingerprint magnet...who makes a glossy black mobile phone housing??? The firmware is VERY hit and miss for these, some firmware is horrible with regards to the device rebooting, although I now hav e a version on it that is stable.

I am actually bouncing back and forth between these 2 phones to make a decision as to which I should keep, or just get rid of both and go with something else.

I HAVE both devices and have compared them right beside each other. By taking pictures of the same items in the same lighting conditions. I'm giving you my experiences with these 2 devices, so you can take my opinions or leave them...it's up to you. Don't get me wrong, the g600 does not take horrible pictures by any means, but as mentioned before, in my comparisons the k850 did a better job.
