Best Sidekick to get?

I have a Treo 650 on Cricket and I'm looking for an extra phone that I want to buy from ebay that I can take out of town. I talk a lot, but out of town, I'd rather text message and I'll get it on prepaid. Plus, I just want a sidekick lol.

The thing I'm considering is price. I just wanna know the one that averages out at: best price and most useful.

Would anyone just do?

I know little about Sidekicks, and I was just gonna up and buy the Sidekick II. But, just give me some recommendations lol. =]

Dont't get a Sidekick 2, they keyboard isnt very good. Its rubber glued down and in the hot weather it bubbles up and starts to peel and slide etc.

Get a sidekick3 if your looking on ebay for a cheap sidekick.

sidekick 3 is the best way to go. sk2 is to big and bulky.

check your local craigslist u find then cheap there.

since ur only going to use it for texts.. u might as well go cheap and get the ID or step it up and get a sk3..
if price is the major factor.. the ID is ur best bet

Why not the LX? That is like telling someone to buy a black and white tv when plasma tv's are available.

I know you want to go cheap. But would save up a little bit more and get something nice. If you ever saw them side by side you would see how nice the lx is.

Just remember that you always get what you pay for.

It you're looking for a basic SK then the SKid is your best bet, but if you lookin for top notch then the LX is where it's at.

If price is your concern the Id is were its at. The 3 is also tried and true.

The Id has better reception in my own expirence,I'd go for those,but if you do go outta town and wanna take pics and liten to mp3s then go for the sk3.

I have a slide(one of the good ones) and its been great to me,the only difference from the slide/lx compared to the sk3/Id is a faster web,better resulution and a new os and the web look different when the server renders the pages.

dont get me wrong.. id tell everyone to get a LX but for the price for it without contract.. its not worth it.. it has a handful of upgrades from my 3 and im not willin to dish out that huge amount of change for it... if ur a new sk user.. then please get a sidekick.. its a great phone.. i just hate being on contract..

For reception, the SKiD.
For battery life, the SKiD.
For a camera, bluetooth and MP3 player, the SKLX or SK3.

Since you just wanna mess around with one, the iD would be your best bet, as you can usually find them on craigslist or ebay for less than the cost of a subsidized one signing a contract.

it all depends on you the id is great. but i still have the sk3 for pics and mp3. and i dont want to sign a new contract. Lx price is to high for now.
