VZW just released an OS update for the 8830 yesterday....I downloaded it and installed it correctly but I am now running into a bunch of problems. The first is that there is no longer an bb internet icon and when I click on a link in an email or text, it tells me that there is no browser on my phone and to please contact my carrier. I restored my bb to a time/date before today and it did not fix the problem. The apps I had on my bb are also now gone and again restoring it does not help. If I get a new bb message it wont let me open it. I highlight it but when I click the ball to open it, nothing happens.
What can I do? I know this isnt in the VZW thread, but I figured I might get more help in here from you guys.

You need to resend service books to your device. If you're a BIS user, visit your BIS site, sign in, and select "Service Books".

You will likely need to reinstall your apps.

Thanks, I did that and got the browser back, but my audio is still messed up. I have had the phone since I came out and have never had any issues with ringer/alert volume levels but now its like they have been cut in half even though they are still set on high.
I talked with vzw and they are not even acknowledging this update exists and are saying their last update for the 8830 was in july.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get my alert volume up to a level you can hear once you are further than 2 feet from the phone?
