Thanks in advance.

I have or had an unlocked 1.0.2 iphone using Fido. The screen has gone black and hasn't responded to restores, ibrick or anything. When I go to apple support it says no options for Canada for the product. What warranty options do I have? Do I have to drive to buffalo to the apple store for support?

Maybe it's just out of battery?

When did it go black? Hwat were you trying to do with the phone at the time?

Buffalo won't help you, since your phone i hacked, and the warranty is voided...

I had this happen to me a couple of times. Phone goes completely black and nothing will detect it.

Here is what I do. I plug it to the wall charger, press and hold the home and sleep button down until the apple logo shows up on the screen and then let go. Eventually it boots up.

I have restored and installed the latest firmware after the screen went black. Doesn't this wipe out the trace of it being hacked?

I was just charging it and the screen never came on. You can see that it isn't off because the outline is visible but its completely black. What warranty options do I have as there shouldn't be a trace of it being hacked and I've tried all the restore, boots, reset options?

What if you buy the item for a relative in the states as a gift? Apple will not honour the warranty because its not an americian address?

if you have the receipt, you should be ok to bring it back to the apple store

If not, you're pretty f'd. But you can always send the phone over here and I can take a look at it.
