1.1.2 - Recieve a text when a vm is left

Hi all,

I don't know if this was mentioned before but I just gone through the process of upgrading and unlocking my iPhone and it is now on firmware 1.1.2.

When I usually insert my ROGERS sim card into the iPhone, I get the red dot on the phone icon. The only way I could get rid of it is I would have to call my cell and leave a vm, then delete the vm. The red dot will go away.

Well when I left myself a vm, I know get an accompanying text (sms) saying I have 1 voice mail. I never had that before.

Has anyone else noticed this?

That's a new feature on 1.1.2

VM notifications

Why would the phone allow VM notifications if it has a VM app for visual voice mail - does this get annoying (double alert) or does it only come into play when you use it on an alternate network?

Visual Voice Mail works on AT&T & T-Mobile Germany. You won't be able to use that function on Rogers unless Rogers supports VVM.
