I love you can get it today only with the instant rebate of 100,
but i do not want the 39.99 data plan.
I guess i can buy it and drop the data after 30 days.
Can't i get the 19.99 media net on this phone or do
i need to buy it 3rd party (ebay or cariglist)
and stick in my sim out my razr and then get media net for 19.99.
No way i m going to pay 39..9 for internet

I called ATT today to ask about the BJII and she said that you don't need a data plan for the rebate on the BJII, that you need one for the BJI, but not for II. Not sure if I believe it or not but I ordered it and got her name and the managers name and told her to mark that on my account(since I don't have data), so we'll see if I actually get it or not.

but to answer your question..the MIR says it requires the PDA personal plan, a data plan of 39.99 or higher, a messaging plan of 19.99 or higher and a voice plan of 39.99 or higher, the phone is gonna be pretty pricey on ebay.

Why not just buy the phone from an AT&T store outright? No plan, no renew, no rebate, no deals...just pay full price (you can even say it's for someone else, so they don't even have to pull up your account). That's what I did for the BJI.

Because it'll be very costly to do that. Your better off buying one new from Ebay then full price from any carrier.

Its like Razr's... you can get them free if you sign a 2 year agreement, or $500 if you don't. Ebay has them for like $99 new. Big difference.

The Blackjack II is new... so I'm not sure what its price is going for on ebay, but I would almost bet that it would be cheaper then what AT&T has to offer unless you get some kind of rebate.

I normally just tell them my phone was crunched in traffic or I dropped it in the lake while boating and have them just renew my contract and give me the 2yr contract price.

i just got a Bj1 as a gift- my buddy got it for $49 after rebate and he extended his contract- yeah he is a great guy. The real news is- they only made me get the media max 200 plan-NOT the pda plans. And I only have to keep it for 3 months and I can cut it off if I want to. I think they have finally listened to their customers, from what I have been reading this has been a hot issue for a while!
