Q9M: Messaging hard key causes lock up

Whenever I hit my messaging hard key (the one between 0 and SPACE), I get an ALERT: shortcut not found (or similar--don't have it memorized) error that locks up my Q9M, and can only be undone by turning the device off. I'm sure I have a dorked up registry issue--anyone have any idea what it may be, before I go and hit Master reset?

i had something like this the other night. my top buttons didnt work. neither did some of my numbers. when i pushed 1 my start menu would pop up i did a master clear and now all my buttons line up

The default behavior of the Messaging key on the Q9m is launch \windows\start menu\messaging.lnk. you may want to see if you still have a that shortcut there. if you do, you may need to do a hard reset.

That was it exactly. I restored the link, and it worked. I just made it hidden so it wouldn't keep clogging the start menu.
