I just got the Motorola W490 and i can't transfer mp3's thru the microsd card I get this error cannot copy "name of file": The device is not ready.

I was able to get a few small size files on there but nothing bigger than 26kb

anyone else have this problem?

are you trying to copy mp3s stored on the micro sd to the phone?? perhaps your mp3s are set at variable and not constant bit rate.

I've been able to transfer them fine with no problem, but actually I prefer assigning ringtones that are on the micro sd card, leaving the phone's memory to wallpapers. I only have about 5% of the 1gb micro sd card filled with custom mp3s assigned as ringtones and sound clips for the voicemail/text message alerts

can you only transfer files thru a usb cord? I just found one that worked with my phone and I'm not having any problems now.
