With my previous Windows Mobile phones, I've always found or read about a hack of some kind for the dedicated keys hardware makers like to have, so I am really surprised (and bummed) that this one remains a mystery. I've been searching various sites for the past couple of hours, as well as doing quite a bit of registry and shortcut tweaking, but nothing's done the trick...

Anyone know how to re-map these buttons?

I just did this method using XP on a different computer and it worked perfectly! |

Then copy the files to the /Windows directory and when it prompts you as to whether you'd like to replace the files say yes.

Actually, hmm, that makes me think I need to disable UAC for a second... (Or figure out how to copy as an administrator.) Edit: Nope, that wasn't it. Same error with UAC on or off, and my account does have admin privileges. Still not sure why I don't have permission to replace the file. |

* Is it possible to map the long hold button press seperately from the short hold button press? (E.g., a long hold on the CV button brings up the power management app, but a long hold on the AT&T button does nothing.) |

Is there anyway to not have the CV.exe and MediaNet.exe to not come up in Task manager? |
