I inserted the new SIM, ran anySIM, and during the loading screen, it froze. After about 45 minutes, I turned it off, and turned it back on. if you followed Drakkhen's guide, you would have read that it's during 1.0.2 firmware that you unlock/flash the baseband and when you actually upgrade to 1.1.2, all you need to do is use the 1.1.2 jailbreak software and your iPhone should have been activated, jailbroken and unlocked on 1.1.2

I had a VERY similar problem when I was on 1.1.1, only advise I got on here was to update, so I did. It seemed to me it would consistently do it in apps that relied on an EDGE connection and only after bringing the phone out of sleep mode. After an app crashed the 3rd time, it would either a) be alright for a while or b) crash a 4th time and kick the phone into a restart and then be ok.

Upon upgrading and ACTUALLY getting it working again, I had the problem return...

I don't know if it was my summerboard theme or my dock arrangement, but I uninstalled the theme and put my dock back to factory arrangement and it hasn't happened since.

Old dock: phone, SMS, safari, mail
theme: iPhone surge's "apple chick"

I have rearranged my dock with Customizer. I'll reset the dock to the default and see what happens.

As long as the black screen is showing new numbers every 2 seconds or so (they will start after the message you posted) you are in good shape.

Don't want to really jump through hoops to redo this stuff. It appears that the programs only respond this way the first time I use them after modding something. If I can get my iPhone customized then leave it alone I'll probably be fine.

It happens very randomly to random apps, and I also tried uninstalling a few apps that I dont use to see if that would solve the problem, but it still happens.

One more thing, I'm on TMobile and had a Nokia 8801 before the iPhone, and I noticed that in the settings menu, under usage, it says that I've used EDGE, I have 43 kb sent, and 20 kb received. The only thing is, I'm not subscribed to EDGE and dont have any settings setup for EDGE, its all blank...

So whats up with this random EDGE usage?

Error Sending Message every single time. I tried deleting the sms.dmb file, but nothing changed.

I even re-did the entire unlock process. Still no txting.

Recently she has had issues sending mail via exchange imap with the phone claiming the outgoing password is missing, well it is not and best of all it is correct. To let you know I have the full Internet plan with t mobile and the apn settings are correct at internet2.voicestream.com and furthermore when the sending error occurs safari still works. This is almost a situtation where it appears that the phone is somehow loosing the outgoing password when switching back to edge from wifi. I have not seen this before, and it has been going on for a couple of weeks, btw the outgoing server settings and password are 100% accurate.

Any of your thoughts would be welcomed.

On installer, add the following Source:

i.unlock.no

Then back on Install, scroll to Unlocking Tools and there will be an application fix for this problem
