Does anyone know why my friend's SE P1i seem to be 5hrs slow? the location settings are all (current, home, Zone of Interest) are set to Ottawa (Eastern Standard Time, the correct time zone) but still when I get text from only that phone let's say was noon here the message states it was sent at 7am. Very strange any hints would be much appreciated.

Yep. That's a known issue with SE Smartphones, I believe the M600 has the same problem. And its only with us here in Canada. And SE doesn't seem to care to fix it. I have the same problem with my P1i. However, it's only like that for incoming texts. In every other aspect, the time is properly synchronized.

Don't think there exists a fix as of yet.

just change ur time zone to Azores

My phone used to do that too, but out of nowhere, yesterday it started showing received SMSs with the right time...

I disabled the daylight savings time under the system updates and i think that worked for me. I'm not sure if it was coincidence though.

Hmmm. Mine wasn't working. So I followed chanman's advice, and went with Azores as my time zone, and it was working fine. Yesterday, I decided to go ahead, and try changing it back to Ottawa (even though I'm in Toronto, and there's no Toronto on the list...so Ottawa is the next closest thing) and it seems to be working fine now. Hooray. lol.

By the way, chanman87, how did you get that avatar? I can't seem to find a p1i anywhere in the avatar selections....a page number and section name maybe? I checked the Sony Ericsson section, and couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks!
