Hey, I'm getting a new phone this week and I've pretty much decided that I'm getting a W580i, but I'm not sure what color to get. I've seen the black one in stores, but haven't seen the white, so I guess I'm just asking how anyone with a white phone likes it. I've had white and black phones, and i usually like the black ones better, but the white one caught my eye this time.

I've been to several AT&T stores around here and they only seem to have the black ones. :P Soo...yeah.

The white is good, but it isn't a true white. It seems almost pearlish - I actually prefer the black. The white w580 catches more looks, but I like the black finish better.

Seriously, it's pretty cool looking! And ATT branding is too heavy and restrictive.

alot depends on where you buy it ATT stores will not have the white, Best buy have both adn some other stuff included(speakers) and radioShack have the white w/o speakers. There is a grey awailable online and PINK coming out, don't know when but have seen pics online

I have the white and it isn't bad i like it better than the black

and it does have a pearlescent kind of finish to it. The at&t branding can be removed very easily by debranding the software and some very fine sandpaper will remove the at&t logo from above the d-pad with little effort. But i'm actually doing a housing swap on mine to make it the urban grey and get rid of the globe button that is actually the activity menu key.

I used to have a white w580 but switched over to a black one. I bought the black housing on ebay. I was going to try incorporating pieces from both the white and black w580s, but ended up liking the look of the all black pieces better. It looks "classier" than the white IMO. Also, the back of the black housing has a cool rubberized texture. Easier to grip and take off that damned battery door too

That actually looks pretty nice, any chance you could take more pics, I didn't like how the ebay housings were glossy, but that looks decent...

They're both really nice. The white is a pearlish white. I like it but the black one is alot nicer in my opinion. The orange really stands out on the black.

The front of the housing is glossy, but the back is a nice flat black and it's got a rubberized feel. I have an invisible shield on my phone so the back looks glossy as well.

He doesn't have any items for sale right now- kinda strange. Just search "black w580 housing" on ebay and you'll find a bunch of other sellers selling them.
