Motorola Rizr Z3 Problem: When Calls are Answered & Dialled both parties hear nothing

Hello everyone, I sold a Rizr Z3 and initially I was told by a technician that it was possible that sliding the phone down roughly caused the ribbon to "jump" off the main board.

Sometimes the keys dont respond.

Now the when a call is made it connects and the other part is on the other line but they cannot hear me nor can I hear them. The same thing occurs when a call is received.

This is a two week old phone.

What do you guys think is the problem?

I would suggest either your mic is bust or the flex attached to it, is either damaged or disconnected.

Okay that what could have caused the flex attached to become disconnected?
Is it possible that I could have been sliding the phone up and down too roughly and it caused this?

yes. Sliding the slider roughly may have caused the ribbon to jump off track or rip.

you would need to take the phone apart to confirm.
