I got a KRZR K1m through VZW this past summer. I have added a few custom ringtones using P2KCommander and a data cable which have seem to run smoothly. The problem is the sound has stopped working on playback.

Let me be more specific....

Ringtone (custom and standard) sound works fine to receive calls/texts/voicemails
The only time the sound doesn't work is when I try to play it back manually on my phone
If I record a video or receive a video message, sound playback does not work.
The exception to this is MIDI message playback, MIDI sound files will play if sent through messaging.

So basically my problem is exclusive to playing things manually on my phone. I can still add new tones, and select them as my default ringtone. When I receive a call, it will play the new tone. I just can't preview it. I DO, however, hear some faint static noise next to the speaker if I put my ear right next to it.

Finally, this seemed to happen out of nowhere. I put some ringtones, sound clips on my phone a few months ago. Then about a month later, out of the clear blue, the preview function just stopped working.

Anybody following this? Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
