Hi All,

Does anyone know the data settings for Suncom to get the iphone working? I can get wifi no prob, just wondering if anyone got " edge " working...Thanks

never heard of suncom.

maybe you can pull out one of your old suncom phones
check out the settings on those and just copy them into
the iPhone

Never had a SunCom before the iPhone...so cant do that. I bought the iPhone and then unlocked it. Then went to SunCom and got a unlimited min plan for $69.99 per month..( cant beat that! ) I use it for work.

They where killing my Verizon bill and had to do something.

call suncom.. say you accidentally deleted all the settings on your "suncom" phone
and you need them again,.

Found it incase anybody else needs it

APN - Internet
Username - blank

I had the same problem...today..I unlocked a 4GB iphone for suncom. The edge wouldnt but i found the settings.

Here are the Instructions
Hit Settings > General > Network > EDGE >
APN : mobileinternet
Username - (leave blank)
Password - (leave blank))

I use the following settings to successfully connect to SunCom's Data plan:

APN - Internet
Username - blank
Password - blank

I was told by the SunCom phone clerk that I would be charged $5/ Month for unlimited Data usage. I got my bill the other day and they charged me an extra $420 over and above the $5 monthly "unlimited" data charge. ARRG!!!

Anyone have similar frustrations using an unlocked iPhone with SunCom's Data plan?

YES!!!! I ran into that just today. I had to go into a store and talk them into giveing me a credit of $130.00 and agree to drop the data plan off my plan.

I dont get why it wont work.....maybe it will be better when they change to T-Mobile next year

Igphoneman, You've done better than I. I got nowhere with Suncom's customer-no-service department. I talked to 3 levels of management - still no joy.

I'd be interested in knowing what store location you had success with?
