I'm stuck between the 2 phones and I am having a hard time deciding which one to get. Help a brotha out! Can someone list the pros and cons of each? Or if anybody used both before, please tell me which one you prefer. Much appreciated!

had an e61i for about a month and a half, if it makes it to the end of the year without a 9mm pumped through it, i will be surprised.

signal pickup is only so-so
there are a couple of bluetooth issues
the voice dialing is so bad that my frapping INFINITI has better voice dialing
the file handling capabilities are marginal
call swapping is worthless. there is NO CIRCUMSTANCE where hitting the "send" button should drop a call.

the screen is nice, and the websurfing is ok, but i keep a Ipaq around for the heavy lifting.

i have found the e61i to be an incredibly frustrating phone. save your bloodpressure and go with something else.

i dont know why you have such a frustrating experience , but i found E61i to be one of the best nokia phone .

signal pickup was never an issue (hey ! its nokia)

bluetooth issue - dont know what u talking about , though its 1.2 , & no A2DP but still gets the job done.

voice dialing - sorry , i dont use bluetooth hands free , so never tried it.

screen is not only ok , its actually great , & it is one of the best screen under sunlight . & its big enough.web browsing is also awesome , it even supports flash.

i think droptodown may need to upgrade his firmware , or he is using a locked version .

why dont you go to , some nokia store & check for yourself

it's an unlocked version. have checked for firmware upgrade (today) it is running 1.0633.86.02, which the nokia software updater says is current.

it is a nokia RM-227, us version, i got it new in a factory sealed box, this unit is a return from nokia (different phone) after sending the first one in for repair on the bluetooth issue (it finally got to where it wouldn't see anything).

the "bluetooth issue" is that i will be 3ft or less away from the phone (normally in my pocket) and it will just disconnect from the headset. a minute later it will reconnect again, or i may have to hit the button on the headset to get a reconnect. may happen again 5 minutes later, may not happen the rest of the day. cycling power on the phone every morning seems to help, but not stop the issue. this happens with 3 different headsets, and with my infiniti FX45 bluetooth as well.

i tried reloading the current firmware to get past the voice dialing issue, didn't help. i have gone to one touch dialing for people i call often, which is certainly a move backwards to the 90's. i make about 50-80 calls a day, and receive about 40. i need a phone that works with me, instead of fighting with me at each step of the way. the call drop when i hit send to swap has got to be the most infuriating thing i have ever seen in a phone, and i have lost MONEY because of it. i am going down to look at more phones today, i miss my 6230b.

Web surfing will not be limited on E61i as it will be on BB 8320. BB requires a data plan to access all websites. E61i wifi can be used to surf anything, plus, there's more software for S60 than BB. If you dont need push-email, I'd get BB 8320.
