i kno its possible to do this but i was wondering how difficult it is to do it and how much would it cost to get it done? i mean roughly? also, it will be walkman player 2.0 right? thanks

I just did it through Davinci. It was about $16 USD. Wotan is cheaper though.

On Davinci, you need to follow the directions carefully, but it's not too hard, just a little technical. Be sure to READ the site carefully BEFORE doing anything if you use Davinci. Their tutorials and downloads aren't exactly organized like they should be IMO. I can't speak for Wotan(I've always used Davinci even though they're more money), but it might even be easier on Wotan from what I've read.

And it's Walkman 2.0.

I use Wotanserver - it takes around $9-10 to flash. You have to install the drivers (they explain how) and choose what features you need. If you have K550 as your phone, you simply select W610i and begin the flash. I can explain it more if you like...

what is flashing?

Posted by: Phone Diva

You're changing the ROM, using the flashing client provided by either Wotan or Davinci. You need your USB cable that came with your phone.

after flashing to w610 from k550, is it possible to revert back to normal in case theres something i wouldnt like about the change?

Good question because your phone then shows up as a W610i! But to me the W610i ROM is WAY better than the K550i ROM. It was kind of plain Jane on the K550i.
