Price for BJ2 without contract renewal?

So -- the BJ2 is $74.99 with contract renewal (after 50% off and $100 rebate at all local stored here in Tallahassee, FL).

I went to one store and they wanted to charge me $379.99 for the phone --- which is ridiculous. I am about a year away from needing a contract renewal (1 year 2 months to be exact) --- but should I really be paying $300 more for the phone just because I am not up for renewal?

Was anyone get a good price who was not up for renewal?

75 bucks price as a contract renewal??? WHERE???

The best you can get is 149.99 (after 100 rebate).
Rebates now are now mail-in but last weekend they were instant
with 39.99 data plan.

The BJ2 is not one of the Samsungs that is 50% off, only the BJ1.

My store in town here is saying the $100 rebate doesn't apply without a contract renewal.

But yeah --- BJ2's are 50% off (they are even pictured on the big "50% off all sansung phones" sign at all the stores). With 50% off and $100 rebate, they are only $74.99 at all stores here in the N. Florida area.

The stores are all telling me I have to pay $379.99 if I want one though .... because I can't renew my contract yet.

I saw the BJ1 on the signs as 50% off not the BJ2.
Even on the ATT website, under select Samsung phones being 50% off,
the BJ1 is 50% off not the BJ2.

I got the additional discount when I bought mine on Saturday. It was $175 plus tax. I'm not good at math but I don't think that's 50 percent off. I renewed my contract and all that.

The 50% off did include the BJII in my area. The promo did not cover all states.

Yeah, YMMV on the 50% off --- but it is definitely 50% here in the N. Florida area.

I ended up just finding a friend who was up for renewal and had them buy the phone for me. I don't get one of the discounts because he would have had to add the data or text plan to his account in order to get the rebate --- but I paid $174.99 for the phone instead of the $379.99 they wanted to charge me.

Yay! Yeah, it's easy to buy it for that price. Nice friend you got, too.
