Problems with the Jog wheel?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've been playing with the jog wheel on the BII and it just doesn't seem accurate. I'm not sure if it's me or my phone. I can go all they way around the wheel and it only moves like one line.

Anyone else?

You need to press down slightly while spinning.
There is definitely no correspondence between revolution and
line/icon scrolling but it is smooth and IMO better than the
old scroller.

i HATE the new scroller....it's so touchy...i liked the other one better

they reinvented the wheel and...failed

I have to agree with Chudy2. When I think of a jog wheel I think of the ipod. Apple's jog is great. This one isn't very good. Scrolling through a lot of text takes a while. With the old wheel I could fly up and down.

It's actually the metal ring around the pad not the black part that "jogs". And a light touch works just fine.

ummm the whole outside ring rotates...the only thing that doesnt is the middle button.

you're right! When I try to rotate only the black part, it's not as responsive as when i have my thumb on the metal ring.

they move together...same speed

poor grammar...."it" being the screen, not the wheel. Finger probably slips less when more contact is made with the metal rim.
