By the way, has anyone succeeded in getting this to load to the Storage Card? Seems like the install cab allows the option, but it actually installs in main memory. Reg entries show it as being on the storage card, but it isn't..... The map cache takes up available memory.... Has anyone got a workaround? |

A few notable exceptions include the Samsung Blackjack, Moto Q and Palm Treo 700W, which don't support the APIs (application programming interfaces) Google requires to find cell towers, Lee said." |

If you bring out the Contacts->Menu, you will see the menu item to locate your contact (if address is valid) on Google Maps. Such hook must be installed on main memory. Otherwise, your phone will be hosed if your storage card is taken out or non-working.

I do get My Location working in 3G all over Orange County but only after I have gone to Edge first, Open Google and request My Location! Maybe it varies in different areas and depends on how the towers are set up and/or within the database etc....or its a bug within the stock UCHA1 ROM by Samsung, but I can confirm Da-G's analysis of the functionality, and of course this only works with the new WM6 UCHA1 ROM upgrade or the most recent Da-G cookins from the same.
