I've read numerous articles that it does not work on the Blackjack
including these articles:

I am using version 2.0.0.11 right now on a BJ2.

So is this GOOG 2.0 better than Microsoft's Live Search?
What are the main differences btwn the two.

I personally just want to be able to do mapquest-like queries to get directions
from Location-A to Location-B and get interstate traffic reports.

The latest version is working on my WM5 Blackjack I and it seems much faster in general. It has some neat functionality and traffic worked fairly fast I have it installed it on my storage card and it seems to work fine except the My Location. I have enabled the "My Location" feature but it keeps telling me that "Your current location is temporarily unavailable" and that includes the past 2 hours and trying it at variouse times and locations when I drove around at lunch time. Is anyone with a BJ I getting the "My Location" feature to work? Is there something we need to do to get it working?

I'm here in Los Angeles with BJ1 (wm6) loaded with latest google maps and having the exact same results. Good speed on traffic updates but still getting "location temporarily unavailable".

Is the entire download process done on the BJ2 phone or do you have to download to a PC and ActiveSync?

What url do you put on the phone browser if no PC download required?

As I recall I just went to www.google.com/gmm on my phone and this just has you relocated at the general Google Mobile location You then see the option for Maps (Download)

If this is the maps program tht works through cell tower locations it is really not meant to be used with a phone that has built in gps. It will not be nearly as accurate as your gps unit.

Anyone got a link to where you can get Google maps with "My Location"? Google's page says a UK site. www.google.co.uk/gmm
http://www.google.com/gmm/mylocation.html?hl=en

never mind that is the link, but it looks like it isn't(My Location) available in the US yet. anyone having luck? It should show as a dot with a larger circle around it.

2.0.0.11 looks like the new version.

Direct your phone to www.google.com/gmm and it will install the 2.0.0.11 US version.
