V9 stuck on Bootloader

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just bought a V9 supposedly unlocked and all it does is start at the Bootloader screen :

Bootloader
04.c1
SW version
R263311M_U_9C.
13.37R_1

Battery OK
OK to program
Connect USB
Data Cable

I only press the one button (red) to get this - no combos and once here I have no idea how to exit it. One time it apparently went into the normal boot and came up (AT&T Home) and connected to my normal SIM network (Entel PCS in Chile). I was able to make a few sample calls seemingly without problem, but when I tried to turn it off and back on, got the bootscreen freeze again. Is there anything I can do or is it DOA? Since this was an eBay purchase I could just be screwed, but wonder. btw, there are no V9s in Chile yet... I also have a V8 with no problems -
Any help or advice would be appreciated - contacts direct are okay too (jodgie@e2ipi.net)

you might have to upgrade to a newer firmware. The original firmware on that phone is probably buggy.

That's why I stay away from ebay because at least with some of the online vendor shops I've bought unlocked phones from, they have return policies. Mobilebee.com has a 14 day return policy with no questions asked...had to return a blue Krzr after it did work for awhile...I even tried upgrading it with 3 firmware versions and even tried downgrading it to the original, but it kept giving me the white screen of death, so I returned it after 2 days

sounds like they (whoever you took it to) messed up on unlocking your phone. Take it back to them and it may also need a PDS repair.

whoops, sry, ddn't read tht u got it frm eBay. As mentioned, it may need a PDS repair. Search.
