alright, so i have these phones till monday to compare, i will post a more detailed review monday.
Signal: so far, the BB 8830 on Verizon ranks highest in my signal testing, with it constantly recieving the highest (bars) of signal in my room. in second, comes the Motorola Q9H on AT&T. and Third, but not bad, comes the Tilt from AT&T. it constantly has 1 bar less than the Q9H.
Looks: I would rank the Tilt best "looking" phone, with the Blackberry coming in second leaving the Q9H last. I'm not saying that any of these phones are asthetically un-pleasing, but I am saying that the Q9H has the least good looks of these 3 smartphones.
Media: The Tilt rates highest for media capabilites, because of the large wide-screen. Next comes the BB, then the Q, because of the laggy interface.
Calling: The Q9H recieved the best "sounding" phone in my not very good test, with me calling a friend on all of the phones, then them telling me how it sounded. I will conduct a better study when I get the time.
Connectivity: the Tilt recieves the highest rank here, because of the Wi-Fi. Second comes the Blackberry, then 3rd is the Q. I find the Q to be a bad phone to use as a true smartphone, because of the lack of wi-fi, and the not very good signal.
Camera: The tilt has an amazing camera. 3.0 MP.
heres a sample pic shot at full res on the Tilt.
The Q9H has a decent camera, here is a picture from it:
The Blackberry will not be rated, because it has no camera.
Navigation/Interface: Blackberry wins here, Hands down. The interface is great, and is very snappy. On both of the WM6 devices, major lag occurs, even when all programs are closed.
Typing: I can't stand the Tilt keypad, the keys are WAY too far apart for my liking, and I am not a huge fan of software keyboards, like on the Tilt when it is closed. The Q9H is second here, with OK keys, that I bet I could get used to after a little while. The Blackberry wins here, with the best keypad/navigation system (the pearl) in this case.
Cool Factor: I would have the Tilt and the BB tying here, with the q coming in second. the Q doesnt have any huge cool things about it, but the tilt, well tilts which is awesome in itself, and the BB has the pearl.
more later, and please keep in mind that i am kind of biased towards the BB, because it is my phone, and the two AT&T devices are loaners for testing.
