Dash vs. Blackberry Curve

Hi everybody,

I currently own a Dash right now and it is great. I pay the 5.99 plan and I am able to get e-mail right away and also view documents and sync it with Outlook. I have had it for a year now and my one year contract is about to end.

I am curious to hear what people think about the BlackBerry Curve and if they would recommend it over the Dash? If not I may just keep my Dash. Thanks in advance for the advice.

If you edit documents, and dont need nano-second email delivery, get the dash. If you want to pay 2 be able to edit your documents and need nano-second delivery of emails, get the curve.

I'd stick with the dash.

i played with a curve, it was pretty nice, but it felt too simple in a restrictive sort of way. if you enjoy windows mobile, then i would stay with the dash. just my opinion.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.6) HTC-6900)

I agree, if windows is working for you and you enjoy its abilities then there is no reason to switch...keep the Dash.

The BB:

Requires a BB data plan for email and Internet which is more than your current $5.99 data plan.

Email is automatically pushed every 15 minutes or less via RIM. If you think you need real time delivery, I think there are ways to do it using gmail or yahoo.

You get up to 10 email accounts.

Contacts, calendar, tasks and memos sync with Outlook. Mail does not sync.

If you need to edit word and excel files, there is a 3rd party program for that, eOffice, for about $100. Small screen size makes it difficult to do IMHO.

Thank you guys for such great feedback. I think keeping my Dash is a good idea.

Actually WM6 lets you edit with the native apps.

eOffice is for BB's. That's what I'm presuming he was referring too.
