$100 Apple Credit Revisted

When Apple originally started giving these credits out, I tried and the website said my phone didn't qualify.

Just for fun, I tried again yesterday and lo and behold, I got the credit.

I don't know if Apple extended the dates or is giving to everyone now but if you didn't qualify before...try again. Can't hurt.

When did you buy your iPhone? That's strange. Maybe it was a glitch or something. What made you decide to try again.

LOL. I'll take that chance. I bought my iPhone right after the price drop.

With respect to getting or not getting the credit, I followed all of Apple's rules, putting in my phone number and serial number and now it qualifies.

I'm using their system not circumventing it.

Hopefully some others on this board will now qualify and get the credit, which was my original intent when I posted.

The only reason I tried again was that I saw the ad for the credit on Apple's start page and I was sure it wasn't there last time I looked.

Hmmm......I qualified.............twice, about a month and a half ago. Then I got my phone replaced by Applecare. Maybe I should try this new SN and see if it goes through.

Edit: It didn't work...oh well.

Considering what I paid for my 8525 (retired), after this credit, the price of my iPhone turns out to be quite a bargain.

so i applied for the store credit for my iphone on 9/14 ..

so after reading this post today .. i decided to try again .. to see if they gave me a second credit ..

long and behold .. they sent me a text message .. and now i have 2 store credits.. what does this mean..???

Check the balance on the second credit.

whats happens if I'm not an AT&T customer?

I'm on T-Mobile and and bought my iPhone at the reduced price...

so does that pretty much mean I have no chance...?

relly bugs me that when I try it dosnt say that my iPhone att acound could not be or eny thing... It just says that they sent a free text ... Grr I wish I would get that text.. But I guss because I use my rogers number i never get it.. But it still says it sent the text..

I wouldn't say that. It might not work "in heaven or hell", but here on EARTH, there's always a chance.

I didn't qualify (bought it well after the cut-off date, at the "reduced" price of $399 + tax, didn't activate it with AT&T, unlocked it and using it with my old plan), and when the website said I might not qualify, I followed the instructions - which said to email them, and I got a phone call with the rep telling me that he would send me a $100 gift card code to use at the Apple Store. Used it to order the Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset, which cost me $32.09 shipped.

Yeah yeah yeah...the HoFo "morality police" will say it's not right, that's just wrong, I shouldn't have done that, blah blah blah...whatever.
