I hope this isn't a repost.

If you want to change IE's homepage, change the following reg entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AboutURLs

Change Home to : http://www.google.com/m or whatever you want.

it kinda is but that's different from the last one. It says to change "Home_409" to another page if that's what you want your homepage to be. To stop it from going to MediaNet you delete home but i guess it makes sense your way too.

I did the same thing the OP did. Now if only I could change the soft key to do the same thing.

ok... i changed the registry entry and my homepage is now set to Google, but now MediaNet doesn't work! When I try MediaNet, the error message reads "Your Internet Connection is not configured properly....etc"

Now what?

Tried it on my BJ1 and it works fine. Was able to access MEdia Net using the MEdia Net icon and the homepage of my choosing via IE.

i've tried what the OP said to do AND tried also deleting home. the changes are successfully made when i go back into regedit and look for them, but IE always goes the media net homepage no matter what changes i make. any ideas?

i am pretty sure i have already app unlocked it. i am able to change the band (3G/EDGE) and have made other various registry edits already.

correction - when i fire up IE it goes to the stupid Media Net homepage. but if i click Menu/Homepage it goes to the homepage that i have set in the registry key. so can you not get it to just go to that homepage upon opening?

If WM6 IE is anyhing like WM5 IE, there should be no home page at all. If you launch IE by the correct shortcut (Start->Internet Explorer), you will be in Favourites page as the first screen. Most ppl get confused by the Media Net URL shortcut AT&T put into the startup menu (Start->MEdia Net). If you click on that shortcut, it will, of course, get you to Media Net home page (http://home).

well i am clicking on the AT&T globe that is a hard key at the bottom of the BlackJack 2.... maybe we need to be able to change that hardkey.

I asked this question elsewhere but haven't received a response. If anyone knows how to remap the hard keys, let us know.
