I honestly don't care anymore lol... I will use my blackberry as IM+ rocks for it.

What features that are/if anyone is waiting for Apple to release?

I give up. Too many up-to-date phones out there. There is more to a cell phone than a slick looking GUI. I wish Apple could figure that out. But it's their first stab, so go figure.

At least WinMo devices are filled with more features than I could ever use. In which, IMO, is alot better than not having them.

Slick UI was great until the initial "ahh it's an iPhone" shock wore off. It might have good ui, but when you get past "omg omg omg, i can flick through contacts", most likely you'll be looking for more.

I'm sick of defending iPhone everytime someone tries to send me a picture message. "what? Your expensive phone can't even handle pictures? Lame". And email just doesn't cut it when networks like helio don't have a workaround.

Isn't it kinda...shallow just to look at the iPhone and say "but it's pretty and has nice ui" knowing full well it should have so much more? I'm not hating on the phone, i love it. Just saying

You know what? I've given up worrying about this new feature or that new feature. I'm just enjoying using the iPhone for now. I use the Notes feature 5x a day or more (sure could use cut and paste!)

The SDK coming in February will finally allow the phone to go to the next level.

I want a good calculator and voice recorder.

I'd rather have a slick, easy, large screened phone that may be lacking a feature or two than an out of date UI, crash-prone, ActiveStink phone any day. I'm not going to suffer through 100% of my usage of the device to gain 10% of functionality.

I mean I'm still waiting, but it's not that big of a deal now. It's a great phone and I enjoy using it.

You can have any preference you want. The point bootycancer was making was that it was his preference to have functionality over superficiality. Would you still be happy if iPhone had no camera and no bluetooth just because it has pretty UI? Probably

I love the iPhone, but at some point i had to stop saying
"look! It's purty!" and look for functionality.

there is more than two features lacking on the Iphone. Please explain the lack of landscape keyboard for SMS, lack of MMS(for this day and age), why can't you customize the sounds for all other incoming traffic(voicemail, calender alerts,etc.), why does Safari crash so horribly(no error, just closes), why no flash support, why no video, auto-focus, voice recording, voice dialing, SIM apps? I can go on all day, there buddy. A simple, yet smaller form factor, RAZR can do all of this, without the need for a full blown OS along with 3G and better battery life. Honestly, Apple KNEW people would buy the iPhone at $700 per pop without all those normal, everyday phone features. Hell, I still surf the iPhone forum cause I just left Helio, and am debating on either keeping my Voyager or cancelling before the 30 days and switching to the iPhone.

And again, when the release the new iPhone with 3G and some upgrades they know all these people with the iPhone will spend another $700-$1000 on the newest iPhone. There is no doubt in my mind iPhone 2 will sell like hot cakes even for existing users. Even if all apple added was 3g and some extra memory, people would buy it and then come on here complaining "damn apple coming out with new phones every 6 months, i'm going broke", like they couldn't have just kept their iPhone1 in the first place.

I for one need to be convinced a little more to jump back on the iPhone bandwagon. 3g alone wouldn't do it for me. But then again. If they added every feature i wanted, who would buy iPhone 3? Apple will always be lacking to keep demand up

I honestly just wanted to know if anyone was even waiting for these features still or have learned to deal without it. I for one wouldn't mind having them, but have grown to live without them. I still think this device is revolutionary and not the best phone out there as there isn't a phone that fits thats description for everyone. iPhone is the best out there for me, and for my co-workers can't deal with 97% touch.

Does anyone think they will even give us these features on version 1.0? Or will apple save it for the next version? (MMS, flash support, copy/cut/paste)
