ok i always wanted at sharp 903. and im thinking of buying one now (i know kinda late).anyways i was looking on ebay can theres the one with the "vodafone" logo and the other one with fareastone. is there any diffrence between them? of just the logo. help a buyer out.or if u have one on sale i want a white one ^^

-fareastone is taiwanese, if i remember correctly
-if the 903 has the vodafone logo but no vodafone wording on it, its a SX833 (smartone-vodafone from hong-kong).
-if it has both the vodafone wording and the logo, its japanese. (like how the 703shf says vodafone right under the logo)

hope this helps

I (and many others) have posted the differences numerous times, the problem is those threads/posts don't get stickied and vanish into the abyss within days. So as said here, try doing a forum search.

That's an excellent summary, should replace the sticky!

Yeah very well done. Just a few things that need clarifying:

* What you've written as Taiwanese firmware isn't the real Taiwanese firmware, it's better known as the hybrid firmware because it's a weird mix of JP and HK firmwares actually. It's the reason you have all those weird problems, like the menu items not matching their icons. The real TW firmware looks and functions like the HK one.
* The Euro (UK) firmware has the Japanese font from the JP firmware in it, so it supports 100% of Japanese characters. However, it can't type Japanese text.
* The HK firmware doesn't have a buggy shortcut key, it's just that the shortcut button is actually a video call button in the HK version. That's why it brings up the call log, and is why the up arrow on the d-pad brings up the shortcuts instead.
