BJII Jog Wheel - modify speed?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Is there a reg modification or some other way to make the jog wheel a little "snappier" ?

IMHO, I've gotta spin the wheel a little too far to get a response on the display.

Thanks.

I agree...I need it to scroll faster. Clicking down sometimes is more efficient.

My thumb will thank whoever figures this out.

I would like to meet the idiot who determined the speed setting.

It is way to slow.

I kinda like it, caught myself doing the same wheel thing on my BJI.
Actually quite useful in my opinion.

The scroll wheel arrangement on the BJ I blows away that thing on the front of the BJ II. Talk about developing joint problems down the road. That is the single biggest thing that has held me back from a BJ II. I like th size better than my Q9H but that scroll wheel on the BJ II is terrible. I can get over the kind of cheesy finish but the scroll??

I like the wheel. It's almost 'speed sensitive' If you move it slow enough one rotation will only go down one line, but if you move faster one rotation can get like 5 lines..

I've noticed that the scrolling seems to be context sensitive. When scrolling contacts or your start menu the BJ2 seems to be kind of sluggish. However, under IE it actually is pretty swift and in my case more accurate than theBJ1 wheel. I prefer the BJ1 speed in contacts and the start menu, but I like the BJ2 under IE and when browsing in general. I still would like to be able to change the settings though because scrolling the start menu and contacts is just too slow for me so I tend to click instead.
