3 weeks ago i bought the samsung a737 for $100 after rebates.. since then theyve dropped the price to $75..

its only been 3 weeks.

am i entitled to a price difference?

its the "pay now" price that got changed.. not the rebate amount.

if you bought from a company owned store you can go in and get a credit for the difference with in 30 days from the original purchase date. if it was an agent it may be different..

i bought it through the premiere store

i work for a cor store and we were told that we dont do any type of price matches if a phone drops in price within 30 days...

but, the customer has a 30 day return policy. they can return the phone and then purchase it again at the reduced price. we just end up crediting the difference to avoid the hassle of the exchange

exactly.. i could be a jerk and return the phone and rebuy it... but its not worth all that for $25.

Yeah but you would get charged an activation fee again which actually puts you at -11.00 in the end...

no.. thatd get refunded.. since its in the first 30 days.. i could return it and itd be like it never happened...

see im not a new customer to cingular/att... i had an account with the old TDMA attws for 4 years. switched to cingular because they had the nice no roaming GSM (i was travelling more).. and now in the last year att has bought me back.

point of that was.. the way it used to work when i worked there.. if you were a new customer.. and cancelled your line in the first 30 days.. you still had to pay new activation.. cancel it in the same 24 hours that you activated.. and no charge.

for current customers.. if you didnt get along with your new phone (upgrade-renewal).. they didnt charge it to you twice.. because they knew you werent going anywhere.. and it didnt really incur them much extra in the way of account setup paperwork.

Do you really believe that?? Of course there is not a second activation/upgrade fee if someone exchanges a phone for a different model.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT DOING THIS. $25 IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH WORK/TIME.

cintd,

this wouldn't be an exchange. it would be a return.. start over.. new phone (same model).
