you need to set your WAP settings

Posted by: efparri

Perhaps many of the settings on the phone are hard-coded to those of the original carrier, either T-Mobile, Cellular One/Dobson or SunCom. Which carrier logo is on the phone?

Posted by: dirty moose

There is no company name of the phone.

how would i set my WAP settings?

Posted by: bodeh6

Just copy them from here link

Posted by: dirty moose

im on the pebl not the v3

Posted by: jojosung

the setting is not device specific :-D
just do it.

Posted by: SHoTTa35

Of-course AT&T wont have settings for the PEBL since they don't carry that phone. The V3 uses the same OS. That's like you telling me the settings for your Comcast and Compaq computer is different than mine an IBM and Comcast both running Windows XP.

The PEBL didn't have info for AT&T's server so you need to manually put them in. After that you should be ok

i put everything in and its still coming up as network not available.
any other ideas?

maybe he doesn't have a data plan?

Make sure that you entered the User Name and Password in upper case. You may not be able to reach the MEdia Net homepage because http://device.home means nothing to your phone. You will have to enter a real Internet address. You can try this:
http://infospace.com/infow.sbcw/

Do you have a "G" showing on your screen? This indicates that you have connectivity.

Bud.

I have a t-mobile pebl i use on cingular. i bought mine off ebay too.. it came unlocked.
the best thing you can do is get the PEBL Motorola generic OS and flash it to your device. It gives you access to all the MMS and Web settings that were previously blocked. I think my phone runs just as well as it did before. Not better, but not worse. I also have access to the antenna gain which is nice. I can lower it to save battery life.

ports: i wish i knew how to do that stuff, i don't have the "official" cable to connect the phone to the computer. i have one that was intended for a digi cam but its the same size. that being said my razr used connect just fine with it, but my pebel does nto show up on p2k. any ideas?

try p2ktoolsvs (p2ktools3)

you may have to buy a cable for it.. my phone came with it.
