Hi, sorry I am a newbie to this phone. I was wondering if it is possible to unlock the Rogers Tytn so that I can use with other providers like Fido? Also, is it possible to upgrade to WM6 with the Rogers's Tytn and add Chinese display too?

Rogers will not unlock without paying a hefty fee. Currently you cannot unlock it yourself.

You need to find an online company the can do it by IMEI or check the marketplace forum at th top of the main page.

By the way, my phone is running WM5, is there anything on the phone that I need to check or do (preparation) before using the sim & cid unlocker?

Also, is it recommended to master reset the phone before unlocking?

Whats the difference between SIM and CID unlocking?
I believe SIM unlocking is so you can use it with another carrier SIM card. But what about CID unlocking, what will that give you?
And will the Hermes unlocker unlock a TyTN II?
