The P800 sounds interesting, but how does it work as a phone. Is the sound quality good, does it hold signal well, etc. The t68i was such as disappointment in this regard.

Excellent. The 800 has the best sound quality I have experienced in a cell phone. It sounds to me, as good as a high quality, wired telephone. Reception is good to very good in my opinion, comparing it to an older Samsung SCH850, which rarely ever experienced a breakup during conversation.

The sound quality of the phone is "unbeleivable". I am vert impressed with the actual quality of the sound, by far the best i've used (i have used a lot of phones as that is my job). The speaker phone is lacking and the design of it being on the back was a bad idea.
The reception is above average. It is not as good as the 8890, in fact any nokia's, but this is unnoticable unless you keep both phones side by side. Also, the RF is much better than t68's for sure. Overall one of the best "phones" I have used.

Plus it has a camera!!!

When I had my P800 I was totally surprised that the handset quality and headset quality were real awesome. Awesome product from SE. I would've kept it but wanted separate PDA and phone.

Interesting. I have come to the same conclusion, about separate phone and PDA. Trying to make the phone a PDA and visa verse results in too much of a compromise. The biggest issue for me is the phone needs to be small enough to fit in a front pocket. So I am now looking for a small GSM phone with good reception and maybe bluetooth.

Wait for the SE T610 to come out. Only 2 more weeks! Its a hair shorter than the 7210 and I'm sure the screen and functionality will be better. Remember that they have to clean up the mess the T68i made.

I here you on the T68i mess. Bad press.

The T610 looks kind of ugly on phonescoop. Hopefully it will look better in real life.
