I have an iphone 1.1.1 OTB (jailbroken, never unlocked) and installed summerboard and customize. It started to crash on me so I tried uninstalling customize and summerboard. I got an error trying to install summerboard. I basically want to restore my phone so I can have a fresh start.

From my understanding, I download the 1.02 fw from apple and restore to that? What about the baseband? After i downgrade then i upgrade? Will my contacts be lost? I read some of the guides and got a little confused. Can someone help me out.

BTW my phone was never bricked and still works, just crashes.

Thanks in advance.

Why dont you restore it using the 1.1.1 fw? Why use 1.0.2 if you want it 1.1.1 otb?

So just go though itunes? I dont have to downgrade to 1.02 or anything. Also If someone can dummy proof the restore process in itunes. Im not exactly clear on the hold power/home for so many seconds, hold shift...etc. I downloaded the 1.1.1 restore file though.

Thanks in advance!
