Jailbreaked 1.0.2 +iTune 7.5+Installer = Bricked iPhone Please Help!!

I was helping my co-worked upgrading her iPhone. She had a jailbreaked 1.0.2 unlocked with the old AnySim. What I was going to do was using "Installer" and virginize the phone using BigBoss's vriginize script.

However, I hooked the phone up to my iTune 7.5 first, then installed the Installer using iBrickr 0.91...the phone stopped working and just freezed...

I tried using both iTune 7.5 and 7.3.05 to restore it but there was no success. Everytime the phone would just power itself off during restore process and the restore process would just fail. I had error 1611, 1604, and 1603. I tried DCU mode and rebooting phone using iBrickr 0.91 but none of them worked.

Is this problem is the same as the "endless reboot" people were complaining about when iTune 7.4 first came out? Is there anyone else experiencing the same problem I am having?

Please if anyone know anything about this issue please help me...I really hate to have to buy a new iPhone for my co-worker....

Thank you guys~!

Hmmm, you may have been upgraded to a higher version. Did you select the 1.0.2? or just clicked restore?

I was pretty sure that I selected 1.0.2 firmware.

did you try DFU'ing then using apptapp to kick it out of restore mode?

I did use both apptapp and ibrickr but the phone keep turning itself off during restore process...this is killing me!!

Did you try the power and home button at the same time to try and stop it?

Tried that also. I think the phone is offically messed up....

Keep trying. It took me forever to get my phone to go in to DFU mode one time, and then when I would iTunes would not recognize it. I ended up rebooting my PC and then I was finally able to get iTunes to recognize it. The beautiful thing here is it is not really possible to "brick" your phone. Keep working on getting it in DFU mode and attempting to restore 1.0.2. You can get it going, it just takes persistance.

As I mentioned, there really is no way currently to "brick" your iPhone.

Also, check out my guide - You can read the whole thing if you want to, but with regards to what dhendricksen was saying about DFU - That's probably the most important step that people don't do properly. There's a section near the beginning of the guide that talks about DFU that a lot of people have found helpful

Good luck!

Thank you so much, I will try it once I get home today. I actually was able to reboot the phone for one time when I was using iphoneinterface.exe program. I unplugged the USB cable and it turned off again. Tried tons of time after that and still can't duplicate the result.

The problem is that no matter what buttons I push, the phone will just show the apple logo for a minute or so and turn itself off. If I force it into restore mode with the yellow triangle, it will still turn off the moment I click "restore" on iTune. It seems any type of communication with the iPhone will force it to turn off...
