Thinking of getting Touch Enhanced

I'm thinking of getting a Touch enhanced and had a few questions.
1) Recommendation as to best place to buy?
2) Is the processor ~ 200 MHz or 400 MHz. I've now seen websites with both numbers. I know the Sprint version is 400 but was wondering if they had upgraded the GSM version as well.
3) Is there a good threaded sms app for the phone. I think I've read that the Sprint version comes with one. Can this be ported to the GSM Enhanced version (assuming it exists for Sprint)? Is there another solution out there which is better. I've gotten so used to having threaded SMS that I just can't get used to it and am going to get rid of my Q9h. (That and truthfully I'm just used to WM pro instead of standard)
Thanks.

CDMA is the 400mhz qualcomm, GSM is 200mhz. I emailed HTC a few weeks ago and they replied that it's not planned to make the processor upgrade to the GSM model, just the RAM/ROM is all it got.
The CDMA doesn't come with a threaded SMS app. There are some kicking around, I'm not using any because I didn't like how any of them worked. PocketCM was really nice, but on the Touch the keyboard didn't show up placed correctly, so I'm just waiting for a fix or another threaded SMS app to come out

Thanks for the info epsilons. I think the threaded text may kill it for me. I tried using the traditional outlook based sms and it drove me nuts. As much as I want to get this phone I think I'll just wait until there is a good solution for sms msgs. That should hopefully allow for prices to drop as well.

Once PocketCM is (hopefully) updated to flow with the Touch it'll be fine. It uses an iPhone like threaded SMS interface. There are some others that have a pure text interface which is why I didn't bother yet.
e.g.
Person1: hi
Person2: hello
I'll let someone else present some of those options because I didn't look very far into it
