I am just about to install the official update. Will post my impressions as soon as I get it working. Would love to hear what others think!

In the process of downloading myself. I just thought I would let slingplayer mobile users know that your serial number is still valid. I contacted them back in August asking if I would need a new serial once I updated to WM6 and the rep said yes. Just got off the chat with them and I guess they changed their system as I will not need a new serial #. Just thought I'd let users know. Now I'm just hoping I will actually have time tonight to do the update! I used logmein.com to start downloading everything to my home computer so it's waiting for me when I get to it.

love the look and everything else about it. only downside is that the built-in SIP client is missing

Can someone please post some screenshots of WM6 ROM how it looks.

It's telling me my serial number is invalid. No I'm not typing it incorrectly. Anyone know why it would say this? my firmware version is 1.54.00.00

Same here.

I just chatted with Palm technical support and they gave me a dummy serial number, so for those of you with issues, do that. No, I'm not going to provide the dummy serial number here and I suggest no one else does either. I even asked and they said the dummy serial numbers will be different for each person.

Same here. This is definitely a known issue and the Palm chat folks were very helpful. Downloaded the update and will install later this afternoon.

Here's the direct link to the download,

http://palmone.r3h.net/downloads.pa...ktopUpdater.zip

For those that are cautious about the link I posted, that's the actual download link that Palm gives you after entering the serial number. I didn't upload it. R3h.net is one of the domains Akamai uses. They provide services for a lot of big corporations like Palm, Apple, Audi, and IBM.
