hey guys please answer this question for me, i have 1.1.1 and it works great, unlocked with Anysim 1.1. i want to upgrade to 1.1.2, so do i need to uninstall all the stuff within installer on my 1.1.1 iphone and then upgrade? btw when i upgrade i will need to unlock again yea? i need to use Anysim 1.2 yea? NOT 1.2u right? i know i need to run oktoprep before i uprgade. so please answer this question i plan to upgrade tonight

You don't need to do anything to begin with, just update to 1.1.2

Then, downgrade to 1.0.2 and load anySIM 1.2.1u

Followed by Installing Oktaprep to prepare for 1.1.2

Then upgrading back to 1.1.2 and Jailbreak using Jailbreak Software

Done.

Are you using PC or MAC?

for MAC, search my Guide on unlocking 1.1.2

LOL i have a razr dont worry but i love my iphone, and mac geek, why do i need to downgrade?? i upgraded my father's iphone 2 days ago, he had 1.1.1 NOT unlocked with anysim cuz he uses atat so all i did was run oktoprep and then i just upgraded and jailbreak using the jailbreak app for mac, im using a mac. i cant do the same thing? his iphone works perfectly..

I love it. A terribly non-descript title, bumps it after less than an hour, begs for help, and then challenges the answer.

Jackrussell32, it seems you have it all figured out - why would someone help you just to get challenged?

oh boy, so wait i need to downgrade to 1.0.2 right from my 1.1.1, acitvate and jaulbreak the 1.0.2, instal installer , install anysim 1.2u, run it and let it do it's thing, then update to 1.1.1 again, activate etc again and then run oktoprep and only then upgrade to 1.1.2 and then jailbreak with the jailbreak app for mac? and then use anysim 1.2 to unlock?

thnks alot mate, ur a good person, so i was right, i need to downgrade to 1.0.2 and then use anysim 1.2U right? not the regular anysim 1.2 yea? and then update back to 1.1.1 and run oktoprep and then upgrade to 1.1.2 and jailbreak, right? is it worth doing this for 1.1.2 or not really?

there is no regular anysim 1.2. Its only 1.2U.

And yes its worth doing it for 1.1.2.

oh i see, and the anysim 1.2.1u is on the Modmyifone.com source in installer, so thats what i will install yea? oh i almost forgot, when i upgrade to 1.1.1, i must use independence's special method to update, cuz i cant jailbreak with independence any other way, that shouldnt matter when i upgrde back to 1.1.1 from 1.2 right? btw why is it so worth it to update? i updated my dads iphone but i couldnt notice any difference , whats so good about the update?

the mass of informations in the site is not helping the search either.

Its just the fact that its a more stable version, and has international support. Small things that really dont make a difference, but you might as well do it now!

for the installer source you can use the modmyiphone one or

make sure to download anysim 1.2U.

For jailbreaking 1.1.1 just restore to 1.1.1 as stated in the guide, then jailbreak using jailbreak me!

If that doesnt work then use independence or carnaval for windows.

thx for the help guys ,and that guy that cursed me should be banned, btw i will jailbreak with independence since im very used to it, and im on a mac , not pc. btw u siad to just restore to 1.1.1 as stated in the guide however in order for independence to be able to jailbreak 1.1.1 it needs to do a little step before i restore to 1.1.1 so tha the 1.1.1 installation will be jailbreakable so it shouldnt matter that i will do that? cuz i dont want to jailbreak anny other way cuz im not familiar with any other way. and btw why did u say i should do it now? is there a reason or u just recommanded me to do it now mate?
