Ok so i copped an Iphone with the new software 1.12 i read all the stickies and what not and downgraded to 1.1 so i can jailbreak .. everything was fine but then i cant go no service ,, anyone know why ? I have to upgrade back to 1.12 to get service again .. this sucks .

you can jailbreak 1.1.2

all you had to do was, on 1.1.1, install Oktaprep on Tweaks 1.1.1 in Installer then upgrade to 1.1.2 and use the jailbreak software.

ok so I tried it again went back to 1.1 ..jailbreaked it then installed the oktaprep then went into itunes and upgraded to 1.2 now it removed the apps.. what am I doing wrong ?

again I have the otb 1.2

now you have to jailbreak 1.1.2 , I had the same problem as you for a little while follow this guide it is the best:

hey jbrez i tried again lastnight with the step on the link you posted but still nothing ... when i upgrade to 1.12 from 1.1 the apps gets removed .. I would leave it at 1.1 software but the thing is that i get no service . you think i just should wait till they crack the 1.12 software . Im really fustrated i wanna use wallpapers and ringtones and cool apps .. thanks for your help

As I understand it, your apps SHOULD get removed when you upgrade to 1.1.2. Re-install your apps after you have jailbroken in 1.1.2.

The ONLY thing you should be installing in 1.1.1 is oktoprep.

Do a clean restore to 1.1.1, jailbreak, install oktoprep, flash to 1.1.2, jailbreak, etc.

So you have to jailbreak the device twice as the update will remove every 3rd party app and jail the phone again.

Just follow one of the "Milestone" guides as they are easy as cake.

ok thanks everyone i got this thing working im on 1.12 jailbreaked it and now im good to go .. thanks again everyone .. now all i need is the unlock ..
