hey guys i m a ATT agent right now, we are not getting signed on for another year at the place i work at. So at Jan 1st ill be out. I want to pursue my career with ATT, so i m thinking i m going to go to a Cor store.

Well here is my question, i tired to get a job at the cor store a few years ago, and i never got a call back or an interview. Is there any tips you guys can give me so i can get to the next step.

That survey is tricky. I think that’s what got me the last few times ive taken it.

I’ve worked at sprint/nextel and ATT authorized agent. About to finish up my degree. So I hope I am qualified…

Any tips or suggestions pls post thanks

It isn't qualification that is hard. Getting an interview is a different story. I work at a Call Center, but the same advise still applies - Find out who the hiring manager is and make sure they know your name. They glance through so many applications that you are often looked over if you don't stand out.

I knew someone that was only 17 and their only job before was a Waitress in High School (they just had graduated) and they got a job here. The same happens in stores too. Who you know and how much pull they have is much more important than qualifications.

(Sadly this extends to some higher up positions in companies too..)

yeah, its not what you know its who you know.... since it's an online app at first. is there some key words i need to put, so i can win over the competition ??

I would say go into a store first and just strike up a convo wit the manager or asm and make and impression with them dont even ask about a job. Do that a couple of times and then ask them if they are hiring... best way to get "noticed" if you dont know anyone on the inside!

Yes, Sincere is correct. Make them know you before you apply. Then it doesn't really matter what your app says because the person reviewing it knows you from more than just what is written on the paper - If they have a good impression of you all they have to make sure is that you meet the legal requirements and they can hire you. Just make sure its filled out completely.

on the website? who actually reviews the apps, a computer?

With the online app, well the way it was when I applied for a call center, you fill it out with general info then they give you a reference # and a # to call. Then you call it, give them the # and they ask you general questions about the job and send it off to be reviewed by someone else. Then they'll either call or mail you a nice post card telling you to sod off...

That was my experience at least..
