Any New Flip Phones

I am partial to flip phones but since the 3125 there does not appear to be anything in the works that I've been able to find. Is the flip form factor dead for Windows Mobile?

The HTC S420 should be out soon. It is the successor to the 3125. I believe it runs WM6 and has built-in GPS.

Have you seen something about the 420 recently? It has been so long since I have, I thought it was DOA.

Hello... It seems I was in the same boat as you were a few weeks ago... I too had the 3125 but I wanted a new flip smartphone... But there isn't any with ATT... So I thought I would go with the Pantech Duo, and I find it a great replacement for the 3125. Its just a tad bit bigger (even fits in the same case) but packs a LOT more punch. I find the battery life is a bit shorter, but I think that's due to the fact that I use the 3G Internet on it quite a bit for getting myself around with the map programs. Its also nice to use the keyboard on it as well..... It is not quite as sturdy as the 3125... but so far seems to be hanging in there quite well.... I had it in my side cargo pocket while I was skiing today and took a few spills, and no problems.... Also I like the number buttons on the Duo over the 3125.... more of a click to them...
When I had the 3125, I thought there couldn't be a better phone :-) But now I see that the Duo has simply got to be the best phone around :-D haha
Blessings on your quest to find the perfect phone!!

I see I am not alone in my quest for a new flip to replace the 3125. It is a great phone but starting to show its age. I search on the Microsoft site for anything new but only saw the Verizon Pantech 820, which is definitely not a step up from the 3125. As far as the Duo, I checked it out but is it quite heavy, large and had limited talk time compared to what I am used to with the 3125. I am also adverse to putting a "brick" in my pocket.

Sounds like the HTC S420 may be our best bet...assuming it is still in the works. I can wait a few more months if I need to.
