For the D value, I have folders containing "File Size Limit" called: Dtmf#, Dtmf*, Dtmf0, Dtmf1, Dtmf2, Dtmf3, Dtmf4, Dtmf5, Dtmf6, Dtmf7, Dtmf8, Dtmf9. Do I go into all of those folders individually and DELETE the "File Size Limit"? Thanks.

It has been my experience that .mp3 files placed in the /My Documents/My Ringtones folder can only be used as RingTones. Any other notification sounds (Reminders, New Email, New Text Message, etc) must be .wma format if placed in the /My Documents/My Ringtones folder.

However, if I place .mp3 files in the /My Documents folder, all of the notification sounds show the .mp3 files on the lists of available files.

Once you get into the sounds folder, press Values, then delete the value that says "filesizelimit"

Thanks. Got it to work. As for placing the mp3's. I've stored mine on my sd card and have no issues.

Put them in the ringtone folder or on the sd card. Either way, they'll work.

FileSizeLimit will be at the bottom....if I remember correctly, it'll be the next to last directory. Most of the directories in the sounds folder are alphabetical......cruise to the bottom - you'll find it there.

Once you get into the sounds folder, press Values(softkey on left), then delete the value that says "filesizelimit"

the button to the left of your dpad has text written above it on the screen that changes depending on the application you are running. when you are looking at your home screen the text reads START. You use it to get into your menus.
But when you use phm regeditor. you open the program and and ckick on the second folder (hkey Current user), then go to the second folder and click it(control panel) then scroll down to a folder named SOUNDS (not sound categories) and click it. after you click sounds, you will be looking at a lot of folders. ignore them and press the button to the left of the dpad(it now shows text above it labeled VALUES. After you press values you will be presented with three items. one of them is FILESIZELIMIT. just Highlight it(do not click it) Once highlighted, press the key to the right of the dpad that has text above it that reads MENU. cursor down to DELETE and press the middle of your dpad to delete it. There will be an alert asking you if you really want to delete the value. press yes. Then exit out of the registry editor and place your mp3 in the ringtones folder in your phone storage or card storage and you will see them as ringtones.

Hope this helps. If not, I will find you another instructor. LOL Honestly it is not really difficult.
Give it a try
