Faceplate for Nokia 8390 to make lights DIMMER?

Hi All,

My GF owns a Nokia 8390. She doesn't like how the phone basically blinds her when she's in dark/dim environments. Is there a method on getting the lights to a bit more dim?

Maybe doing a mod to the phone?

Maybe putting a different , aftermarket or oem faceplate?

Anyone?
Thanks

a solid coloured faceplate with a aluminum foil works quite well..

Any serious replies? Thanks

hey i was serious...i had this 8910 conversion faceplate, but the line shone through, so i took some aluminum foil and taped it into the insides of the case..worked like i charm...
if you do it carefully, it won't be visible..
i told you to get a solid colourd faceplate so nobody can see the foils inside.

you might be able to modify the voltage that goes through the LEDs to make it less blinding. or maybe a solid coloured faceplate. (if not enough, the foils then.)

i wasn't joking..

Actually you can re-bridge the phone for lower intensity. Involves changing a couple of really tiny resistors on the main circuit board.
