I'm getting kinda old and am definitely hard-of-hearing. I have a w580i and it's a nice phone, but I can barely hear the music through my bose headphones. When I do a search on this website using "w580 and acoustics" as my search phrase, I get hundreds of pages of replies.
Could someone point me to a thread that explains how to change the acoustics on my phone with increased volume for music playback?
Thanks much.

My AT&T-branded W580i has an entry in the Settings-General page called "HAC", which stands for Hearing-Aid Compatibility. Have you tried playing with that to see if it helps?

why do you need to use HAC?, it's for hearing-aid and Cochlear Implant.

Need to load new acoustics file.
There are some good ones around web. Look for "acoustics for DB2020 (w580)"
Then, look how to put them on your phone. (darn, it's imperative to do a tutorial how to load modded files on phones here in HoFo)
